I don't know if that means different from what I think it means. That's why I said "along the lines of false advertising". It doesn't work that way for everyone.Īnd yes I agree, people trying to sue them for that is stupid because it's not illegal to have a trailer that has some details altered. I liked that I was tricked, because the shock I experienced was integral to my positive experience of the game. I'm just saying there were people deceived by the trailer (which was the purpose of it) and some of them got mad at being tricked. I'm not excusing the hate and bigotry the polarization of the game generated. That doesn't mean someone else would've like the game the way I did, because they went in wanting to experience a different storyline. Personally, I was shocked, but kept playing and realized how good it was. They might've been disappointed by what the game actually was about. Someone might've looked forward to playing alongside Joel to find whoever Ellie wants to avenge (that's what the trailer was trying to convey). Maybe I should've worded it differently) but tricking people into believing something to be true by omission (No Way Home) or by having scenes that never appear in game (TLOU2) is MEANT to provoke a reaction. It's not illegal (that's why I said along the lines of false advertising. I'm saying you shouldn't be surprised when people get mad at that. Cyberpunk 2077 showcased features that never made it into the game (I loved Cyberpunk BTW). Joel, a hardened survivor, and Ellie, a brave young. Like you said, there's editing for that for Avengers Infinitely War too, Hulk was shown in Wakanda in a trailer when he never appeared. In the remastered The Last of Us Part 1, experience the emotional storytelling and unforgettable characters in a whole new way. Lmao like I said, it doesn't bother me in particular, and I liked the approach. But i am quite sure lot of haters are playing the game secretly, rather than backing down. The free PS5 enhanced performance patch is available now Once players install Patch 1.08 for The Last of Us Part II, they will find a toggle in the display options that allows them to choose between a framerate target of 30 fps or 60 fps. A lot of people won't express those feelings ( Real men don cry □□□) even online. Way to many people turned sorrow into hate and aggression instead of grieving a beloved character. ![]() ![]() It's how the industry works, so the biggest surprise for me and totally bummer was the hate campaign that followed. ![]() So they put in ghost, not to be to openly about it. If Ellie was going on a revenge rampage it would be for him. I knew that with the lie in the end (Best written ending, shocking and gave me a whole other take on the experience) He had fund someone to love and build with, but in that world and how many people he killed it couldn't last. When playing part 1 i thought that, he maybe could have died in the end. I couldn't imagine that Ellie would go so berserk for anyone else than Joel.
